New article on Social Indicators Research

I am pleased to be published on Social Indicators Research with my new article:
Being Your Own Boss: Network Determinants of Young People’s Orientations Towards Self-Employment“, that I have co-authored with Vera de Bel and Eric Widmer.

Based on data on over 7000 young people in Switzerland (project CH-X), we found that those respondents reported more conflict in their networks are those that more desire to start an indipendent career. From this article, self-employment emerges as a strategy for the most vulnerable and an escape from difficult relationships.
